Lens categories

What do sunglass lens categories mean?

The category number corresponds to a percentage of the Visible Light Transmission (VLT), which determines how much light the lens allows through. A higher VLT means a lighter lens, while a lower VLT results in a darker tint that blocks more light from reaching your eye.
